Call it nostalgia or yearning for simpler times; the reasons why are irrelevant. While driving to work one day, the thought crossed my mind of albums that were incredibly underrated or overrated in hindsight. These albums get a <strong>lot<\/strong> of attention generally, being &#8220;products of a time&#8221; (used in a derogatory way) or &#8220;cult classics&#8221;, as if anyone sane wants to be in a cult. But what about the boring middle ground, albums that were accurately rated and hold up after the dust has settled and the artist dies, moves on, or retires? I made some criteria<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select 3 albums<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MUST be from 2010 &#8211; 2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Had to have been well-received when released\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>NO<\/strong> albums associated with other forms of media (soundtracks, etc)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If an album sucked and still sucks, that&#8217;s not impressive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I listened to the top 3 multiple times beyond the other contenders before settling. Result?
